What topics are covered in women’s Bible study?

Our studies focus on God’s Word.  We study books of the Bible in different formats designed to   help you know Jesus personally and know how to study His Word for yourself. Our goal in group Bible studies is to help women grow spiritually and apply God’s Word to everyday life. Topics may include prayer, identity in Christ, suffering, anxiety, relationships and navigating life’s challenges.

Is the women’s ministry focused more on teaching or discussion?

Our gatherings typically include biblical teaching along with small group discussion and prayer. This balance allows women to learn, connect, and grow together in community.

Yes. You do not need to be a member of Faith Community Church to attend women’s ministry events. We warmly welcome first-time guests.

Are there groups for young adult women?

Yes. All our Bible studies are open to young adult women.  We want younger women to meet and interact with those farther along in their faith, so while we will try and pair you with people in similar seasons, we intentionally mix generations because we see that model in Scripture and our goal is to function as a family.

Is there support for women going through difficult seasons?

Yes. Women’s ministry provides prayer, encouragement, and connection during challenging times. We have women who have experienced anything you might be going through and are ready and willing to walk alongside a hurting friend.  We seek to help in both practical ways, like meals and childcare, as well as praying with you and supporting you in difficulties ranging from divorce, single motherhood, loss of job, loss of family members, difficult relationships, parenting teens and more. Please reach out if you are looking for help.  We have a counseling team as well who we refer to in situations as needed.

Do you host women’s retreats or special events?

Yes. Faith Community Church hosts annual conferences and retreats designed to refresh and strengthen women spiritually.  We alternate hosting in our facility and traveling to nearby cities.  These are designed to allow more time for singing and teaching, as well as uninterrupted time for connection to other women and fellowship.  Our goal is to feed you spiritually and allow for friendships to form. We recognize relationships are built over time, and the time constraints of Sunday mornings don’t allow for lengthy conversation or private sharing.  We want you to know Jesus more when you leave and feel a part of His local body here at Faith.

How can I get involved in women’s ministry?

We have weekly Bible studies, quarterly fellowship events and 2 annual large group events for women.  If you want more information, you are always welcome to reach out to Marybeth Margrave, Women’s Ministry Director.
