I was raised in the home of a Baptist Preacher by two parents who love the Lord. I have no memories of a life without the church or without hearing the gospel. When I was six, my sister asked me if I had ever asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins so that I could go to heaven with her. While I had heard about Jesus’ providing forgiveness for my sins through his death on the cross, I had never asked Him to forgive me of my sins and make me His child. In a very simple way, I prayed and asked for God’s forgiveness because of what Jesus had done for me and told Him I wanted to be His. God began to shape me into the image of Jesus as I grew up. By the time I was 17 years old I sensed the Lord's calling in my life to serve Him as a minister of the Word. I received my B.A. from Cedarville University in Biblical Studies and Business Management; I received my M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary. I married Shannon in June of 1997. The Lord has blessed us with four children (Will, Sydney, Owen and Adelynn) all of whom were born during our ministry here at Faith. Shannon is from Pennsylvania and I am from Ohio. They have now fully acclimated to Southern California. I love woodworking, coaching sports, and spending time with my family and have been a loyal Cleveland Browns fan all my life. As such, I have learned to be a gracious loser. :) My vision for Faith Community Church is to build a healthy staff, ministering on a well-functioning campus, who will equip and mobilize our people for gospel ministry both here and around the world.
