For the month of May

The Elders would like to invite you to join us in praying for our church each month. We believe that the prayers of God’s people are powerful and effective (James 5:16), and sometimes we have not because we ask not (James 4:2). We are asking God to do some big things this year. Each month we will focus on one of our goals for the year and ask you to pray for some specific efforts intended to help us reach those goals. This month, we ask you to join us in prayer for our goal to see a 10% increase in baptisms.

Last fiscal year, we had the privilege and joy of baptizing 22 individuals. So far this fiscal year, we have seen 20 individuals follow Jesus’ example and command to be baptized, and we are planning one final baptism service for June 9. This month, would you pray for:

• Those who need to be baptized to take this step of obedience (we only need 4 more baptisms to reach our goal and 6 more baptisms to exceed our highest yearly total of the decade);
• Greater courage and boldness for all FCC members to share the Gospel with others;
• Lives to be transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ this month.
